1. Why radios’ real potential is as a mass medium rather than communicating between two points?

2. “……more new forms of communication media have emerged in the past two centuries than in the whole of prior human history.” Sociologist James Beniger’s hypothesis is that the information society developed as a result of a crisis of control created by the railroads and other steam-powered transportation in the 1840s. The development of railroads created a “supervening social necessity” for instantaneous communication send feedback across distances. What are other reasons that caused the communication media develop so rapidly in recent centuries? Why the speed of development doesn’t distribute averagely in the human history? What is the limitation that hampered its development before 19th century?

3.between “the emerging new media technologies (innovations and inventions) and “contemporary social, political, and economic forces,” which part has more influence on the process of mediamorphic?

2.What are the steps and routes that a disruptive innovation like semiconductor grow from niche markets to the establishment of an industrial kingdom?

3.“Everyone always hopes for the emergence of new,unimagined applications.But the weight of history suggests the unimagined often remains just that;ultimately ever more demanding applications will stop appearing or will emerge much more slowly than anticipated.But even if new, high-end applications emerge,rocketing toward the technological frontier almost always leaves customers behind.” It seems the pace of technology development is prone to exceed the demands pace of people. Thus,what is the upper limit of technology development if there is one(how about people being satisfied with their status quo)?
